“Trading” Piazza
Wow, I didn’t realize that Mike Piazza was a “class A” free agent, although that makes sense. So whoever signs Piazza owes the Mets their first round pick, and the Mets get an additional first round pick.
Let’s face it, Jacobs and Petit were mediocre prospects. They were traded at peak value, and now Omar has an additional two picks in his back pocket to replace them.
